Prof.dr.ir. Hubert Rampersad verzorgde op 24 februari j.l. een live webinar voor studenten en docenten van the University of the West Indies. Het ging over zijn nieuwste Amerikaanse boek “Eco-Design Thinking for Personal, Corporate and Social Innovation“. De Braziliaanse editie van dit boek wordt volgende maand in Sao Paulo gepubliceerd. Studenten en docenten van alle Surinaamse universiteiten en hogescholen (incl. ADEK) mochten gratis inloggen om de sessie te volgen.

Ook de engineering faculteit van de University of Guyana heeft danbaar gebruik gemaakt van deze gelegenheid door ook in deze sessie te participeren.
Keynote voor Caribbean Academy of Science
Prof. Rampersad verzorgde op 12 maart j.l. ook een live webinar voor de prestigieuze Caribbean Academy of Sciences (CAS) in Trinidad & Tobago. Check de video hier.
De moderator op dit belangrijke forum was Prof.dr. Kit Fai Pun, die president is van Caribbean Academy of Sciences – Trinidad & Tobago afdeling en verbonden is aan de engineering faculteit van The University of the West Indies, Trinidad & Tobago.
De Caribbean Academy of Sciences is een toonaangevende wetenschapelijke academie in de regio die in 1986, mede op initiatief van Nobelprijswinnaar Sir John Kendrew, was opgericht. Hierin participeren ook top-professoren van the University of the West Indies, die nummer 1 universiteit in de Caribbean is en bij de top in de wereld behoort. Dit is een primeur voor Suriname omdat het de eerste keer is dat een Surinamer op het hoogste niveau aan UWI en CAS mag doceren.
Gastcolleges in London voor Imperial College London en Royal College of Art
Prof. Rampersad heeft op 21 februari j.l. ook een gastcollege in London verzorgd voor Innovation Design Engineering (IDE) en Global Innovation Design (GID) studenten van Imperial College London en de zeer prestigieuze Royal College of Art. Dit vond plaats in the
main lecture theatre at the Royal College of Art in South Kensington, London. Royal College of Art is the world’s most influential postgraduate institution of art and design.

Intussen heeft ook de Indiase ambassade in Suriname belangstelling hiervoor getoond. Lees: “Rampersad overhandigt zijn 25ste boek aan Indiase ambassadeur Balachandran”. 
Anton De Kom Universiteit komt helaas niet in de buurt van de hoge kwaliteit van onderwijs en onderzoek op UWI en is niet gefocust op innovatie. Daarom wil Rampersad zijn international geprezen innovatieconcept ook graag met ADEKUS-studenten delen om zo ons land duurzaam te helpen ontwikkelen, maar helaas wordt dit door NPSers en VHPers in het bestuur van ADEKUS en door minister Marie Levens, met medewerking van Chan Santokhi en Albert Ramdin, belemmerd en gesaboteerd. Ze zijn helaas niet geinteresseerd in duurzame economische ontwikkeling middels industriele produktie. Hubert Rampersad, Ph.D. is a visionary who leads the way in innovative solutions for genuine sustainability, disruptive design innovation, innovation management, and entrepreneurial leadership. This highly respected Harvard Business School endorsed author holds a Ph.D. in Innovation Sciences, an MSc in Technology Engineering & Robotics, and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from leading accredited universities in the Netherlands/Europe (Delft University of Technology, Eindhoven University of Technology). He is a well-known futurist, advocating for genuine sustainability on a global scale. With extensive knowledge and expertise, he has authored 25 books on the aforementioned topics in many languages and is highly regarded for his insights in these fields. One of his books, “Total Performance Scorecard,” has been published in 20 languages. The book’s foreword was written by Dorothy Leonard, an innovation professor at Harvard Business School.
